It was the most widely used tank. never got much press. Not many left by war's end. never had a glamorous name like Tiger, Panther, etc. A true understated workhouse who did their best without much accolade or celebration. In war documentaries, you'll start to notice them more and more. Probably more than 15,000 served in WW2. Read this article.
